The PATSAFE concept is based on the core competencies for patient safety research and on the guide for developing training programmes in patient safety research defined by WHO Patient Safety.
The PASTSAFE twinning partnership model is based on continuous, peer-to-peer collaboration, training, networking and coordination activities. PATSAFE is based on a dynamic and interactive process with iterative improvement cycles and feedback, ongoing communication, introducing new ideas and insight and peer-to-peer exchange and focused to increase capacities, and also achieve the impact goals.
