Election of two new professors

The senate of the university has elected two new professors:

Professor of Surgery - Urmas Lepner

Urmas Lepner has been working at the University of Tartu as an Associate Professor in General Surgery since 1997. He is also the Head of the Department of Surgery since 2012 and the Vice-Dean for Residency since 2016.

Professor of Orthopedics - Aare Märtson

Aare Märtson has been working at the University of Tartu as an Associate Professor and as a Senior Research Fellow in Orthopedics since 2007. He is also the Head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics.

The professors' contracts begin from the 1st of February 2018.
